Camelot K9 Academy
Dogs that need a certain type of unique training will be best suited for this option. Sports (such as agility, schutzhund, protection sports association, and competition obedience), AKC Canine Good Citizen, Therapy, Tracking, Retrieval, Personal/Family Protection, Detection, Search and Rescue, and Assistance dogs all fall under specialty training.
American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Program
Camelot K9 Academy also administers the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Test to interested dog owners. The CGC is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. We schedule tests when we have enough participants, so call today to inquire when we will be conducting our next scheduled CGC Test. Click this link for more information on the AKC CGC Test
Assistance Dog Training
Physical assistance training benefits those who are physically challenged and in need of assistance and companionship. Camelot K-9 Academy can evaluate your special training needs and your dog to determine if you would be a good candidate for assistance dog training. This type of training can include picking up your car keys from the floor or a credit card that you have dropped, or turning on a light switch. Things that may be simple for someone that does not have a disability, but may be a challenge for you. Let us help your dog become your partner.
