Emily Layne (Kennel Tech/Trainer)
Hello everyone! My name is Emily. I am a 22 year old Chattanooga native and a college student. My current career path is Marine Biology, but I’ve always loved the furry 4-legged land critters. My love for dogs started when I was really young, when I received my first best friend. Bandit was a Boarder Collie and my sister found him as a puppy on the side of the road. Even though my sister found him, he chose me as his person and we had a wonderful 15 years of friendship together. I currently have a one year old American Staffordshire Terrier named Dio G (pronounced like you’re spelling “dog”) and a two year old 3-legged Retriever mix named Chance. They are both adopted rescuers from a local shelter and like Bandit, they chose me. My mother was a handler for Siberian Huskies and the love for dogs was passed on. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a trainer, I would watch Cesar Milan on TV and try to get my dogs to do what hey did. I met Angie in 2018 and she taught me everything I know today. My training dream became a reality and I can’t wait to meet your dog!
